Water is drawn from springs and wells around the property. Roads are established throughout the property. Water Concession: On January 13,, 2020, the Ministerio del Ambiente Y Energia (MINAE) granted a 10-year renewable concession to Star Mountain (Currently being renewed). As the animals on our property are relatively undisturbed, you will probably see more wildlife at Star Mountain than in the national park itself, especially howler and white faced monkeys which live in the treetops above the property. A bounty of flowers decorate the land. Tropical plants and trees grow at an incredible rate in the fertile soil of the rain forest. Planting a garden at the beginning of the green season results in an array of colors within just a few months. Within the area live mammal species like ocelots, margay cats, jaguarundis, jaguars, pumas, deer, capuchin monkeys, howler monkeys, pacas, agoutis, armadillos, the tiny kinkajou, the collared anteater, and the nocturnal coati.
